All of our car parts and tools were created to solve a problem. In the case of our first tool, BMW Special Tool 312120 was required to install the front wheel bearing assembly onto the axle on my E30 BMW. Unable to purchase the tool from aftermarket sources, I called the dealer. None in stock in the US, with no guarantees on how quickly it would arrive from Germany (if it was even still available), and a substantial price tag to boot.
